Service Commitment and Screening

Individual volunteers who are planning on volunteering more than once in a 90 day period must meet a minimum service commitment of 20 hours, completed within six months after the initial start date. Simply put, we ask for at least four hours a month for six months. While not required, the option to volunteer more than the minimum is welcomed. You will also have to undergo a thorough screening process that includes an in-person interview, criminal history check, drug screen, possible fingerprinting, sex offender registry review, and tuberculosis test. Screening can take up 14 business days to complete.
